A Step Towards Sustainability and Community Commitment.
Last Saturday, FAMA’s plant hosted an event that highlights our dedication to the environment and the community: “Let’s Clean Monterrey 2024”. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., around 50 volunteers came together to transform the perimeter avenues, leaving a positive mark both on the surroundings and in the minds of those involved.
Organized as part of our sustainability initiatives, “Let’s Clean Monterrey 2024” aimed to improve the cleanliness and appearance of the avenues surrounding our plant. This effort fosters a healthier and more pleasant environment while reinforcing environmental responsibility as a core value of our operations.
The day began with a breakfast to energize the volunteers, followed by an introductory talk to kick off the activities. Participants were divided into three teams, each with specific roles: painting curb edges, sweeping and collecting debris, and coordinating logistics. The result: 1.7 tons of dust particles collected, improving air quality and showcasing the importance of these initiatives.
This event not only enhanced the appearance of the perimeter avenues but also strengthened the bonds between FAMA and the community. By promoting social responsibility, we inspired others to join similar efforts and develop a stronger environmental consciousness. Additionally, the experience enriched the volunteers, teaching the value of teamwork, collaboration, and leadership.
“Let’s Clean Monterrey 2024” marked the beginning of a tradition that we plan to repeat annually. Each edition will reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and the integration of our team while maintaining a constant positive impact on the community and the environment.
