Privacy Policy

In compliance with the provisions of the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Private Parties (hereinafter the “Law”), Vitro, S.A.B. de C.V. (Vitro) and its subsidiaries with address at Ave. Ricardo Margain 400, Colonia Valle del Campestre, San Pedro Garza García, N.L., Mexico, hereby inform you of this Privacy Policy, requesting you to read it carefully:

1. Personal Data Collected and Sensitive Data.

As part of our registration of customers, suppliers, business partners, collaborators, financial institutions, debtors, creditors and marketing and corporate communication activities, certain personally identifiable information about you may be collected and processed. Such information may include, but is not limited to, the following:

A.- Identification data: full name, address, home phone, e-mail, cell phone and/or work phone, marital status, signature, electronic signature, RFC, CURP, voter’s credential, place and date of birth, nationality, age, names of family members, dependents and beneficiaries and medical information.

B.- Professional data: occupation, position, area or department, address, telephone and work mail, extracurricular activities, work references, personal references, academic history, performance history in the company, among others.

C.- Wealth data: bonuses, salary withholdings, personal and real estate assets, credit history, income and expenses, bank accounts, insurance, AFORES, bonds, contracted services, personal references, among others.

We also inform you that in order to comply with the purposes of the relationship in this notice, sensitive personal data may be collected and processed, such as those that may reveal aspects such as present and future health status, union membership, political position and credit history.

We commit that such data will be treated under strict security measures, always guaranteeing its confidentiality.

For the purposes outlined in this notice, we may collect your personal information in different ways: when you provide it to us directly; when you visit our website or use our online services; and when we obtain information about you from our website or our online services.

2. Purpose of Data Processing.

Your personal data may be used for the following purposes related to our commercial relationship:

  • Marketing the products and services offered by Vitro, its affiliates and/or subsidiaries.
  • Processing and administration of returns, invoicing, customer’s purchase history, payments, discounts, promotion notifications, pre-sales, access to customer and supplier’s portal.
  • Monitor any telephone calls made with you.
  • Update the records and systems programs of Vitro, its affiliates and subsidiaries.
  • Use them in the cases of mergers, spin-offs or acquisitions of Vitro, its affiliates and/or subsidiaries.
  • To comply with the requirements made by the authorities, when necessary to safeguard the public interest, the procurement or administration of justice.
  • In its case, the preparation and execution of purchase and sale agreements, consignment, distribution, supply of products or services, among others, as required by
  • the client’s requirements.
  • The fulfillment of obligations arising from the legal relationship established with the client.
  • Provide the services and products required by the client in a timely and correct manner.
  • Make inquiries, investigations and reviews in relation to their complaints or claims.
  • Contact you for any matter related to the Company’s products and services or to this Privacy Policy.

If you do not want Vitro and its subsidiaries to use your information for advertising, promotional, corporate communication and market research purposes, you may revoke your consent by contacting us at protecciondedatos@vitro.com

3. Transfer and transmission of data

Your personal data will never be disclosed or shared with third parties (there will be no transfer of data), nor will it be put to any use other than that indicated in point 1 above, unless there is a change to this Privacy Notice.

However, we may engage an outside third party to manage and administer this Portal and to assist us in understanding how visitors use it. Although this third party may collect information about you on our behalf, we control the use of that information in accordance with this Notice.

We do not market, sell or rent personal information about you to third parties.

You are advised that Vitro may use “cookies” to confirm your identification, personalize your access to this Portal and review its use, with the sole purpose of improving your navigation and conditions of use.
The aforementioned “cookies” do not collect personal data of the users in terms of the Law. This Portal has links to other external sites, of which the content and privacy policies are not the responsibility of Vitro and its subsidiaries.

4. Exercise of ARCO rights

The users of Vitro’s Portal and/or its subsidiaries have recognized and may exercise their ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition), by sending their request directly to the responsible party through the e-mail account protecciondedatos@vitro.com.

Such request must contain: name and address or other means to communicate the response to your request; documents proving identity or, if applicable, legal representation; a clear and precise description of the personal data with respect to which you are seeking to exercise any of the ARCO rights and any other element that facilitates the location of the personal data.

5. Revocation of Consent and Limitation of Use or Disclosure

At any time, you may revoke the consent you have given us for the processing of your personal data, so that we stop using or disclosing them. You may also limit the use or disclosure of your personal data. To do so, it is necessary to submit your request to the following e-mail address: protecciondedatos@vitro.com

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy

If there are any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify users of the Portal as follows: (a) by sending an e-mail to the account you have registered on this Portal and/or (b) by posting a prominent notice on our Portal.

We will not be responsible if you do not receive the notification of change in the Privacy Notice if there is any problem with your email account, data transmission over the Internet or if you did not have access to the Portal for any reason not attributable to Vitro and subsidiaries.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time.

The laws and regulations of different countries may impose different (and even conflicting) requirements on the Internet and the protection of information.

We are located in Mexico and all matters relating to this Site are governed by Mexican law. If you are located in a country other than Mexico and contact us, please note that any information you provide to us will be transferred to Mexico, and by submitting your information, you consent to this transfer and agree to the conditions set forth in this Privacy Policy.
